Be Grateful, Always.

A season of laugher and enjoyment for many but a season of sadness and loneliness for others…

Take a moment to think about what I just said…

Now be thankful for your life because I'm sure whoever you are or wherever you are, life can't be as bad as the homeless parent that worries daily about what tomorrow will bring for his/her children or the little girl that lost both her parents on christmas day. Take a glance at life and for once just thank God for the simple reason that you are breathing today.

Life isn't perfect, your life isn't perfect…
My life isn't perfect…

We all have heart breaks at some point but let me just tell you life isn't over because of that boy or that girl that walked out of your life. If anything, thank God that they aren't in it because if they left that means they never belonged there in the first place.

Maybe you aren't going through a heartbreak.. maybe you are that person thats going through family issues during this holiday season. Let me just start by saying, it gets better, trust me. I was in that same position last year for the holidays. Sadness comes to poison the inner you and slowly infects all of you. The thought of being alone comes and next thing you know, it becomes a part of you.

I know what it's like to feel the outer joy of the christmas lights and the christmas songs and simultaneously, feel darkness overpowering every good memory you ever had… Smiling to the world and frowning to yourself because you don't like what you see in the mirror.

I know… I know… Life isn't fair but don't allow your current circumstance to pity yourself. You are so much better than you think you are. Again, life isn't perfect but who are you take away life. If you are reading this, maybe you are that person that God is bringing to my mind as I type. I don't know you and you are totally correct, I don't know your life but today I want to tell you that running from your problems isn't the solution. Covering it up with alcohol, sex, or even the way you dress won't change how you are feeling inside.

Today I encourage you to surrender your life to Jesus Christ. He died on the cross for you and for me. He went through the pain so that you wouldn't so just let go and let God.

This Holiday season take the time to encourage those around you because you never know what someone is going through even when they have a smile on their face. & If you are the person going through the struggle just be grateful because there isn't anything God can't fix. Seems crazy but be thankful because that same exact situation that is hurting you right now is what will make you a even stronger person.

Hold on to hope because great things are coming your way.
Happy Holidays, Everyone!

Be Grateful! <3

In our daily lives we all go through struggles, whether it's family issues, school issues, work issues, or even issues accepting ourselves for who we truly are. Today I am here to tell you that you are not alone in this crazy roller coaster that we call our lives. It is a constant battle from the moment we wake up to the moment we go to sleep. We all have our ups and downs but the key is to keep fighting through it all regardless of how hard it gets.
I don't say this just to sound nice to you or to bring your spirt up even though I hope to. I say this because I've been in your place of struggle. A position of frustration, sadness, feeling hopeless at life, pride, hatred, anxiety, you name it.
Before I give you one of my many testimonies...
I would like to introduce myself.
My name is Janelle. I am a 22 year old girl that
decided to give her life to Jesus at the age of 18.
I can honestly say this has been one of the best decisions
of my life. I am a worshipper and a writer. I look forward
to impacting lives through my blogs because I know what is

like to walk the hard road to salvation while still having
a constant battle with your flesh and mind.

So... WELCOME and remember this is a FREE and SAFE zone.
                  NO NEGATIVITY ALLOWED :D

... About a year ago I went through one of the worst experiences of my life. My parents separated after 20 years of marriage. For years I lived in a household filled with violence and emotional torture. It was all finally coming to an end.. Well in others eyes, I'd say because inside I felt worse than ever. My faith in God was truly tested. All I remember asking God was "Why?" ... "Why me"...   The hurt I felt inside was something that till this day I can't describe with words. All I know is that there was such a void in my heart that only God was able to fill. After trying to fight my own battles and constantly failing at accomplishing anything. I finally surrendered my family, my emotions, my entire life to God and it was  in that very moment that He showed me His unconditional and everlasting love.

Yes, I am Janelle, "The Christian Girl" but I am still human. I lived a situation where I doubted God, I criticized His ability to fix my family's former situation and I became anxious to what tomorrow would bring. However, I am here to show you that christian or not, we all have our moments of struggles but remember that just like there is such thing as darkness, there is also such thing as light. In this case my light is Jesus Christ.

So.. If this is you just know, you are never alone and is never too late to seek the kingdom of God. He will always welcome you and come to your rescue without hesitation.

This is just a piece of a story of a girl that a year ago had hate in her heart for her biological father and now can testify that Jesus Christ has restored that father and daughter relationship. It is still not perfect but it's way better than it has ever been.

Today, I encourage you to keep pushing through it all because something GREAT is waiting for you at the other side of tribulation.

God bless you ALL! :D
